Moon-sighting panel to convene on June 5
Manama : The moon-sighting committee will convene on June 5 night at the Supreme Islamic Affairs Council (SIAC) headquarters to receive news and testimonies from Bahrain and the Islamic World confirming the advent of the Holy month of Ramadan.
A SIAC statement yesterday urged the public to call the panel promptly and report any sighting of the moon confirming the advent of Ramadan.
The council also wished many happy returns to the people of Bahrain in the prosperous era of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
It also extended good wishes to Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Royal Family, the people of Bahrain, the Arab and Islamic nations.
