Court extend theft case verdict on September 5
Manama : Two men accused on grounds of robbery will learn their fate on September 5.
The pair is accused of stealing an air conditioning unit, according to court files.
The device was robbed from a house in Isa Town, occupied by Asian labourers.
The accused allegedly sold the unit to a scrap store for BD18 by using a fake ID.
Investigations then uncovered the identities of the two defendants, but the first suspect, aged 37, denied his involvement in the robbery.
He told prosecutors that he was asked by his co-defendant to help him transport the unit to a repair shop.
He, however, admitted to receiving BD9 from the co-defendant after dropping the unit to the scrap store.
They earlier appeared before the High Criminal Court, where they pleaded not guilty to theft and fraud charges.
