Bahrain condemns Jordan attack
Manama : The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned the terrorist attack that targeted the General Intelligence Office in the Baqa’a camp in Jordan, killing a number of intelligence officers.
The Ministry stressed that the heinous act is against all religions, norms and human values. “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs stresses its strong support to, and full solidarity with, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in taking its deterrent measures to counter violence and extremism and to punish terrorists as well as to establish security and stability in all parts of the Kingdom,” a statement by the Ministry said.
“The Ministry expresses its deep and sincere condolences to King Abdullah II Bin Al Hussein, his government and brotherly people, as well as the families of the martyrs, renewing the Kingdom of Bahrain’s firm position against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and calling for concerted regional and international efforts to ensure the elimination of all terrorist groups that threaten international peace and security,” the statement added.
Parliament Chairman Ahmed Al Mulla also strongly denounced the Jordan terrorist attack.
He stressed that the attack is in violation of all religions and human values. He commended the sincere efforts made by the Jordanian security agencies in maintaining Jordan’s security and stability.
He highlighted Bahrain’s support to Jordan’s deterrent measures to maintain its security and stability and pointed Bahrain’s firm stance against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, reiterating Bahrain’s calls for concerted regional and international efforts to ensure the eradication of all terrorist groups.
Al Mulla extended deepest condolences to Jordan’s government, people and families of the victims, praying to Almighty God to rest their souls in peace and grant their families fortitude, patience and solace.
