Bapco receives excellence award

Manama: The Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) was honoured at a regional forum organised by the Arab Organization for Social Responsibility to reward distinguished establishments and companies in the Arab World for best environmental practices. 

The ceremony, which was in its ninth edition, was held in Dubai on 31 May 2016. Bapco, which was awarded with the Excellence Award in Environmental Sustainability, was among fifteen winning establishments and companies representing five Arab countries and also had the honour of being the only oil and gas company to be selected from the Arab region. 

Representing Bapco at the ceremony was Abdulla Al Ansari, Environment Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator of the Bapco Modernization Program me (BMP) who received the Environmental Sustainability Excellence Award on behalf of the company.  Al Ansari also delivered a presentation highlighting Bapco’s endeavours in the Environment Management field. 

Commenting on this occasion, Bapco’s Deputy Chief Executive (Refining & Marketing) and Chairman of the Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Committee Ebrahim Talib expressed Bapco’s pride in receiving the honour.
