CP stresses public sector’s role in progress
Manama: Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, yesterday highlighted that the next phase of Bahrain’s economic development will see the role of the public sector move from the central driver of growth to one that supports sustainable development, which is in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad.
Prince Salman added that the Kingdom will continue to prioritise policies that directly contribute to fostering opportunities for all. He made the remarks during his visits to the Majlis of HH Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Ali Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council and the Majlis of Taqi and Sadiq Al Baharna.
Noting the challenges in light of the decline in global oil prices, HRH Crown Prince stressed that these challenges will be overcome by enhancing cooperation between the public and private sectors.
Prince Salman also added that Bahrain’s economic competitiveness is supported by the advanced legislation and regulatory frameworks, which foster investment opportunities, and increase productivity, innovation and creativity.
HRH the Crown Prince highlighted the importance of continuing to advance diversification efforts and the role of the private sector, adding that the sector plays an important role in Bahrain’s long-term development and economic growth.
