Minister lauds Coast Guard
Manama: The Interior Minister, Lt-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, yesterday hailed the efforts of the Coast Guard personnel in foiling a smuggling attempt of eight fugitives convicted in terrorist cases via a boat to Iran.
The Interior Minister highlighted the importance of professionalism, competency and coordination to ensure general safety and best services for the public.
Shaikh Rashid was speaking in a meeting with Chief of Public Security Major-General Tariq Al Hassan, Coast Guard Commander Commodore Alaa Siyadi and a number of coast guard officers and commissioned officers.
The Coast Guard Commander expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to the Interior Minister for his wise directives and support towards the achievement of comprehensive security.
