Meeting discussed the needs in Bilad Al Qadeem and Salihiya

Manama: Capital Governor Shaikh Hisham bin Abdulrahman Al Khalifa said he will continue field visits to various areas of the Capital as the governorate is eager to meet the needs of the citizens. “The governorate also wants  to stand by their opinions and demands to coordinate with concerned authorities in order to raise the level of services.”

This came during the fifth meeting of the Coordination Council of the Capital Governorate yesterday, which is the second session of the year, in the presence of representatives from security and government services agencies and officials. 

The Council reviewed a detailed report on the field visits to Bilad Al Qadeem and Salihiya with the goal of monitoring the needs of the citizens, in addition a research about the situation of health centres as well as violations of advertisements and posters in the Capital.

It looked into the important service needs for Salihiya, which includes maintenance of drainage networks, repaving some of the streets, readjusting street signal timings, solving the problem of heavy duty trucks, maintenance of Ain Qasari Park, in addition to the need of housing projects for the citizens. 

The most prominent needs of Bilad Al Qadeem were also discussed, including planting more trees in the area, repaving some roads, providing more trash containers, organising traffic in some roads, installing modern fences in farms, in addition to setting up more street lights in the road.

The Council also reviewed the needs of the nine health centres in the governorate, pointing out the shortcomings of the centres and the areas to be improved that will need coordination with the concerned authorities to raise the level of health services.

The meeting looked into violating advertisements, especially in Gudaibiya and Hoora, where the advertisement displays without licence are often placed on walls, road signs, shop windows and garbage containers. The governor also discussed the services provided for abused women who are living in shelters.
