Northern Governor launches campaign to remove abandoned cars in Salmabad

Manama: Northern Governor Ali Al Asfoor revealed that there was an increase in the number of abandoned car violations in different blocks of Salmabad. 

During the launch of the first phase of the campaign to remove ticketed vehicles in Salmabad, he said that the correction of these violations requires strict action against offenders.

The campaign started yesterday and will have one dedicated day of each week to remove cars that have been abandoned for a long period of time.

Fines will be issued for repair shops that do not comply with the laws in terms abandoned car violations. 

The inspectors would report the violations and implement charges against violators pushing toward more severe penalties to end such offences.

The campaign is launched under the guidance of Interior Minister Lt General Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa in cooperation with the Northern Municipal Council, General Directorate of Traffic and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
