BBK Isa Town Financial Mall Team claims victory

Manama: BBK Isa Town Financial Mall Team defeated the BBK Muharraq Financial Mall 3-2 in division one of the Twelfth BBK & FCTG “Western Union” team tennis tournament, being held at Bahrain Tennis Federation premises in Isa Town.

BBK Isa Town Financial Mall kicked off with three consecutive wins when Norman Abastillas and Norman Fronda defeated Khalid and Yousif 6-1, 6-3. 

Followed by Romy and Del 6-4, 6-4 won over Chris and Jenny. Noel and Mohammed beat Ashraf and Avneet 6-2, 6-2. BBK Muharraq Financial Mall won two consolation victories when Fuad and Hisham defeated Saleem and Amith 6-4, 6-3 and Wesley and Riad 6-3, 6-2 won over Vic and Ely.

The tournament is sponsored by BBK, in cooperation with Western Union and organized by Filipino Club Tennis Group (FCTG).

In Division Two, BBK Manama Branch scored 3-2 tight victory against Travel Secura. Travel Secura took quick two-matches as Lito and Jose defeated Michelle and Ana 6-1, 6-2 and Viomel and Melvo won by default over Trevor and Christian. BBK Manama Branch got two back when Lydia and Eric won against Roy and Ian 6-4, 6-4 and Jocas and Dijhay concluded a successful 4-6, 6-4, 10-6 hard earned victory over Jona and Cathy.

Roderick and Vineeth from BBK Manama Branch scored an all-important 6-1, 6-4 win against Madonna and Mary Ann to lock in 3-2 over-all victory.
