Glance at future

ManamaSustainability is a key principle of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s development programme, and it’s reinforced by the Kingdom’s economic openness, said Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa yesterday.

Prince Salman also stressed the importance of considering it within all government strategies and policies.

HRH Crown Prince made the statements during his visits to the Majlis of Shaikh Ibrahim bin Abdullatif Al Saad, Al Mudaifa and Al Rahma families and the Majlis of Mohammed Yousif Jalal and his sons.

The Crown Prince also highlighted the importance of using resources efficiently to protect the interests of the Kingdom. “The Kingdom has introduced a range of legislation and executive orders in the wake of the economic challenges faced by region, to strengthen Bahrain’s economic openness and promote private sector-led growth.”

Prince Salman emphasised that the projects being implemented as part of the Government Action Plan and the Gulf Cooperation Council Development Fund support the Kingdom’s ambition to become non-dependent on
oil.

“It also helps to build on Bahrain’s past diversification efforts that have reshaped the Kingdom’s economy and facilitated high quality job opportunities,” he noted.

HRH Crown Prince said sustainability will underpin all development efforts alongside the Kingdom’s commitment to investing in its citizens.

He added that the Kingdom’s young people will play a vital role in these efforts across all economic sectors. Shaikh Mohamed bin Salman Al Khalifa, son of  Prince Salman, accompanied him during the visits.
