Warning against fake Hajj operators
Manama : The High Committee for Hajj and Umrah Affairs has warned of bogus Hajj operators being promoted via social media networks.
It said that they are operating under names such Al-Hajj Al-Akbar, Anwar Al-Janah, Bu Rahma, Al-Shaiji, Al- Masarra, Hajj Caravan, Al-Muyasser, Al-Marzouq Caravan, Anwar Al-Sajad, Al-Ferdaws (Paradise), Al-Raya, Al-Ghofran and Al-Abar.
The committee stressed that legal procedures are taken against the violators and urged people in Bahrain to be cautious of the bogus campaigns which tamper with the life of the pilgrims by infiltrating the sacred lands illegally and failing to provide them with the pilgrimage necessities.
The High Committee for Hajj and Umrah Affairs called on people wishing to perform Hajj this year to register at authorised operators by the Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Ministry. To ascertain of official campaigns, people can visit the Islamic Affairs website www.moia.gov.bh or communicate with the Hajj and Umrah Department at the Religious Affairs Directorate.
