Deep-rooted ties between Bahrain and Kuwait

Manama: The Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah received Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa yesterday, in the presence of Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah and Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al Mubarak Al Hamad Al Sabah.

Ways to enhance solid deep-rooted bilateral relations were discussed, as well as boosting cooperation in various fields. 

The two leaders stressed on the need to deal carefully with the regional and international developments and to address them within a collective framework according to the specific mechanisms that maintain the region’s security and stability. 

HRH the Prime Minister conveyed greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the Emir of Kuwait, highlighting HM the King’s interest in further reinforcing the concrete cooperation based on long history of tangible bilateral relations.

The two leaders also underlined the need to promote regional cooperation that maintains the region’s security and stability and accelerates the pace of development.

They also discussed the regional and international developments and their impact on the region, emphasising the need to protect the region and its people from foreign interference and attempts to undermine the social unity.

Prince Khalifa urged cooperation to confront growing regional challenges and dangers, saying that unilateral solutions are no longer viable as the region goes through a defining
phase. 

The Prime Minister returned to Bahrain yesterday after being seen off by Kuwait’s Premier and deputies, senior officials and ambassadors of the two countries.
