HM King orders to prepare study for sports stadium

Manama: His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa yesterday ordered to prepare a study for the establishment of an integrated sports stadium to keep pace with the sport movement in Bahrain. 

HM the King stressed Bahrain’s keenness on the development of sports facilities in line with the development march witnessed by Bahrain in all fields.

HM King Hamad highlighted the role of sports in building cooperation and friendship among other countries and their people. 

He also hailed the national teams’ achievements made at the regional and international levels. 

The development came as HM the King received President Gianni Infantino of the International Federation of Association Football  (FIFA) yesterday at Al-Safriya Palace. 

HM the King welcomed the FIFA President and congratulated him on winning the International Federation elections. 

He lauded FIFA’s efforts in the development of the game internationally, and the constant coordination with Bahrain Football Association aimed at uplifting the Bahraini football level.

The FIFA President expressed gratitude to HM the King for the warm welcome, acclaiming Bahrain’s football achievements.
