94pc govt school students reviewed final results online

Manama: The Ministry of Education has revealed that nearly 42,000 students reviewed their final results through the ‘Student Exam Results’ service - presented via various channels of the eGovernment Programme. The figure is equal to around 94 per cent of the total number of students. 

Moreover, nearly 85pc of students reviewed their results through the ‘Student Exam Results’ mobile app, which indicates an immense demand by students on utilising up-to-date technologies in order to view their results, an official statement said yesterday.

The statistics, which was announced by the Information and eGovernment Authority, have also shown a huge demand on the usage of the new feature added to the mobile app. The feature, ‘Subscription for Results’, benefited over 57pc of the total number of students. It enables students or parents to obtain the results via the mobile app or email to avoid repeated entry to the service to check results.

“Such huge demand on the service, by students, reflects their grasp of modern applications in accomplishing a variety of transactions, as well as their confidence in the online service provided via the eGovernment programme,” stated the Education Ministry, “It also reflects, on the other hand, the success in providing government eServices in line with the implementation of the Government Work Plan 2015-2018.”

“The adopted methodology – in utilising several channels such as the Government Apps Store and the National eGovernment Portal – was effective and had contributed in providing different means that are appropriate to the needs of users,” the Ministry added.

The Ministry of Education, in cooperation with the iGA, has launched the Students Exam Results service for government school students - Grade 4 (Primary) to Grade 3 (Secondary).

The service enables the access to final exam results, via the national portal bahrain.bh or smart device application – available through Bahrain Government Apps Store bahrain.bh/apps. 

Additionally, iGA – in collaboration with the Ministry - provides a bundle of other services that benefit students, some of which include ‘Issuing Copies of Student Certificates’, ‘Recommended Universities’ along with ‘Accreditation of Abroad Qualifications.’
