Seven Bahraini men in dock for Sergeant’s car attack
Manama: Seven Bahraini men targeted a sergeant in the Bahraini air force, pelting firebombs at his car, according to court files.
The sergeant was passing by Karzakan in his car, and the defendants attacked him with Molotov cocktails. He was injured after his car caught fire.
The incident occurred in December 2015. “I heard one of them screaming, and a firebomb fell inside my car. As a result, my car rammed a lamppost,” the victim told prosecutors. “I luckily managed to came out of the vehicle, but I suffered burn wounds,” he added.
Investigations led to the arrest of the defendants. One of them is said to have guided police to a cache where 87 firebombs were hidden. The defendants had been accused of possessing firebombs, murder attempt, rioting and participating in an illegal gathering.
