Roads and sanitary needs of Hamad Town highlighted
Manama: Works Undersecretary of the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs & Urban Planning Ahmed Abdul Aziz Al Khayyat yesterday toured the Hamad Town.
He was accompanied by Municipal Council member and representative to the 10th Constituency of the Northern Governorate Taha Al Junaid and representatives from the roads sector of the Ministry and the Coordination Committee.
During the visit, Al Khayyat listened to a number of proposals raised by Al Junaid, including providing parking spaces along Road 1452 in Block 1214 in Hamad Town.
A visit was earlier paid to the location, for which a traffic study was prepared by roads specialist at the Ministry. Two proposals were also put in place to organise the space and provide the maximum number of parking spaces.
The construction of a parking lot along Road 1401 in Block 1214 in Hamad Town were also reviewed. The proposal was included within the current roads affairs programme, with implementation planned at the earliest; provided it does not conflict with the approved public housing schemes.
Al Khayyat also highlighted the latest developments in the construction of parking spaces along Road 1401 and Road 1402, the parking lot along Road 1452 in Hamad Town 1214, the maintenance of the stone barrier along Sheikh Hamad Avenue between Roundabout 1 and 22 and the maintenance of the metal barrier along Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Highway.
Al Junaid also requested the Ministry to solve the issue of flooding along Road 814.
