Duo fined for fraud
Manama: The owner of a diving company and a trainer serving in the same firm have been fined BD1000 each on grounds of commercial fraud.
The duo allegedly deceived a man who wanted to buy a tool used for filling diving cylinders with oxygen.
The victim agreed to buy the device from them for BD7850.
The duo reportedly imported the device but replaced some of the internal parts with expired ones.
When the victim discovered their misconduct, he filed a case against them.
An expert examined the device and confirmed the foul play. He said that replacing the parts with unfit ones could lead to grave consequences.
