Ministers submit report on law violators

Manama : Four ministers visited the Parliament House in Gudaibiya today to brief MPs about the latest measures taken by the Government against violating establishments and individuals.

The ministerial delegation was headed by Interior Minister Lieutenant General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa and consisted of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel Humaidan and Parliament and Shura Council Affairs Minister Ghanim Al Buainain.

The ministers were instructed to implement several key decisions in the past week, including the closure of Al Wefaq Islamic Society and other violating associations, and revoking Al Wefaq spiritual leader's citizenship.

Shaikh Rashid said in the beginning of the closed meeting that "the recent steps taken by the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain followed preliminary stages."

The meeting was attended by Parliament Speaker Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al Mulla, First Deputy Speaker Ali Al Aradi and a number of parliamentary committees' heads and MPs.

Al Mulla welcomed the ministers and reaffirmed the council's full suport to procedures taken by the Government to protect national security.
