Govt actions to ensure security and progress

Manama: The regulations adopted recently by the government were aimed to maintain the Kingdom’s security and continue with the development process, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, yesterday.

“All procedures were implemented according to the law. Many violations had been committed by some sides, who were found involved in many practices that pose a threat to the interests of the homeland and its security. They set the door open to violence and terrorism that risk to damage the values of democracy and human rights,” he noted.

During a meeting with the heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the Kingdom, Shaikh Khalid explained that the judiciary and the rule of law are the main pillars which people could rely on to restore the rights of all sides.

The Foreign Minister commended the stances taken by friendly countries in support of Kingdom to confront attempts to break stability and peace. “Such stances are a living proof of the integrity and inevitability of such measures. They reflect on a general agreement among the countries in renunciation of violence and extremism,” he commented.

Shaikh Khalid also called on all States and international organisations to rely solely on reliable information to take appropriate positions, and to ensure non-interference in Bahrain’s internal
affairs.
