Student entrepreneurs attend iCamp workshops

ManamaSix Innovation Camp (iCamp) workshops were conducted by INJAZ Bahrain for student entrepreneurs during the spring semester of the 2015-2016 academic year.

A total of 484 students participated in the entrepreneurship programme with the assistance of 56 corporate volunteers and six Bahraini entrepreneurs.

The workshops were held with the support of valuable board members and leading partners including Alba, Al Salam Bank, Citi Bahrain, Bahrain Bayan School, Arabian Pearl Gulf Private School and University of Bahrain.

The programme has helped students in identifying the building blocks of a business startup, understand how to think out of the box and work as a team to find a creative solution for a real business challenge.

Some of the successful Bahraini entrepreneurs shared their success stories with the participating teams.

The students presented their innovative ideas to the judges, with one team being announced as the winner. All participants received a certificate from INJAZ Bahrain for successfully completing the Innovation Camp workshop.

The workshop challenges students to find the most innovative solution to business challenges using critical thinking, teamwork, communication and leadership skills.

It also gives them the opportunity to engage in brainteasers and activities with a corporate mentor.
