Rally behind leadership: Speaker

Manama : In an implicit warning, Speaker of the Council of Representatives Ahmed Al Mulla said that Bahrain is not immune from the plots staged against it. “Countries that have failed to protect their security are currently suffering from bloody civil wars and internal conflicts,” he reminded, and urged the Bahraini people to get united and rally behind the leadership. 

Al Mulla, in a statement yesterday, also called on political and human rights associations, community leaders and journalists to back all the measures taken by the authorities for maintaining national unity. 

He urged the Bahraini people to contribute to protecting the national gains and defending the hard-won national achievements in various fields. “The achievements were made possible owing to the Reform Project spearheaded by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Constitution and the National Action Charter.”

Al Mulla also warned of being affected by media outlets and satellite channels that are backed by political regimes and terrorist groups seeking to tamper with Bahrain’s security.

The Speaker stressed the need to rally behind the leadership, support the decisions of the judicial authorities and the measures taken by Ministries and government departments to rectify the political process and deter lawbreakers.
