Local Majlises extend support to leadership, legal measures

ManamaLocal Majlises (traditional gatherings) have reaffirmed their support to the Bahraini Government and the measures it take to protect national security.

During the Majlis of MP Mohammed Al Jowder in Muharraq yesterday, citizens and attendees stressed on the importance of the recent judicial and administrative decisions taken by the government against violators to preserve national security.

“There is no place in the Bahraini society for those who betray their homeland, fund terrorism and promote radicalism,” the attendees expressed.

Al Jowder, who’s a Member of Parliament’s Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security Committee and the National Parliamentary Bloc, supported the judicial procedures taken against violating political and Islamic societies. The MP commented: “These societies have deviated from their national duties. They adopted foreign agendas that target national security and harm the cohesion among the people of Bahrain.”

The MP also supported the revocation of the citizenship of controversial religious cleric Isa Qassim.

“He served Iranian projects in the region, with the aim of misleading Bahraini youth and harm the achievements of the country. It was part of the Iranian strategy to export its so-called ‘Islamic revolution’ through the Arabian Gulf.”

Meanwhile, in MP Adel Al Assoomy’s Majlis in Hoora attendees stressed on the necessity to rally behind the Wise Leadership to combat foreign ambitions to harm the Kingdom’s social fabric and national unity.

Electricity and Water Affairs Minister Dr. Abdulhussain Mirza and Labour and Social Development Minister Jameel Humaidan also attended the Majlis.

Al Assoomy and the attendees confirmed their support to the reforming project of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, highlighting the numerous improvements achieved by the Kingdom under His Majesty the King’s rule.
