Premier’s contributions lauded in UK newspaper article

ManamaA Syrian journalist and poet Ibrahim Aljabin has published an article in a London-based The Arab newspaper titled “Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister of Bahrain, who angers the Iranians: Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Development and Security in response to threats.”

The article highlights Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa’s contributions to the Kingdom.

In the article, Aljabin points out that the Prime Minister “has always been the rock that faced the Wifaq schemes and was never deterred by unrest incidents or terrorism. The Premier reflects the structure of the state’s prestige in the existing political system of Bahrain backed by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.”

The article further states, “The Prime Minister is a veteran statesman, who has a strategic vision and looks to the future and plans for it. He has always placed technology and sustainable development as his top interests.”

The article highlights that Prince Khalifa has won the sustainable development Award of the International Telecommunications Federation in 2015.

“Prince Khalifa has always been the guard of the State and is keen on the system and its sovereignty,” writes Aljabin.

He points out that the Prime Minister had an early presence in the political arena of the country. “But it also earned him anti-state opponents in Bahrain, either from opposition or from Iranian loyalists. When Iran tried to exploit the Arab Spring protests, the Shia protesters were after the Prime Minister.”

The writer also emphasises that Bahrain was descended from a long history, which made it a sovereign state and a civilised nation.

Aljabin notes that Bahrain responded selflessly to dissolve the Wefaq and deprived citizenship not only to subversive elements, but also to dozens of those who belonged to the Salafi IS.

“Prince Salman confirmed that Manama is facing terrorist threats constantly, and that the country needs to support its security efforts to contain Iran attempts to distort the reputation of Bahrain,” the writer added.
