Housing units ready for distribution
Manama : Marking the Holy Month of Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr, the Housing Minister will distribute more than 3,000 housing units to the citizens across the Kingdom’s governorates.
The order was issued yesterday by Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Housing Minister Basim Alhamer said that the units to be distributed are within the housing projects implemented as per the Government’s Action Plan to build 25,000 units before 2018.
It also stems from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s directives to build 40,000 housing units.
Alhamer said the Housing Ministry would harness all its potentials to distribute the units as soon as possible. “A work team has been set up to put forward a timetable to distribute the 3,000 units to the beneficiaries as from today.”
Alhamer added that beneficiaries would receive units from the Northern City, Al-Luzi, Bloc 609 in Sitra, Tubli, Damistan, Askar, Hoorat Sanad, Hunainiy, Al-Nabeeh Saleh, East Riffa, West Riffa, Busaiteen and Arad housing projects.
