Social unity maintains stability : HM King
Manama : His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has underlined the importance of unity and cooperation in maintaining the security and stability of the Kingdom. “It stems from the national duty and loyalty to the homeland,” HM the King remarked in a meeting with a number of heads of Bahraini families and Ma’atems led by Sadiq Al-Bahrarna at Sakhir Palace on Tuesday.
HM the King welcomed the attendees’ contributions to the national development march during the meeting, which was held in the presence of Prime Minister HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
The attendees expressed sincere congratulations to HM the King on the advent of the last 10 days of the Holy Month of Ramadan and wished him happiness and the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity. HM the King also wished Bahrain and its people many happy occasions to come.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman of Jaafari Endowments Shaikh Muhsim Al-Asfoor pointed out HM King Hamad’s interest in promoting houses of worship and religious occasions within the framework of the national unity and coexistence.
He noted the role of ma’atems and hussaini majlises in holding religious occasions and their role in the dissemination of the values of tolerance, moderation and fairness.
He informed about a campaign to revamp 900 mosques and ma’atems in line with a comprehensive plan for the development of houses of worship and mosques. Al-Asfoor also reiterated standing by the Royal leadership against the foreign interference in Bahrain’s internal affairs.
