Al Jama, PE Fuels reveal plan for a hub in Bahrian

ManamaAl Jama Group and PE Fuels International, a fuel technology group have announced they are planning to build a plant in Bahrain to serve as a central hub for their products in the GCC and greater area. This was announced following a fuel enhancer control test organised by them at the Bahrain International Circuit to be performed on the F1 Outer Track with the participation of Norres, a Canadian company invested in the fuel enhancer.

The test was done in the presence of Bapco representatives. According to the company, their FCS 27 diesel fuel enhancer reduces greenhouse gases, lowers corrosion in the engine, and significantly improves fuel mileage. Bapco representative Yousif Al Mezel and PE Fuels promoter Ferlyn R J Chmelyk, CEO of Norres, were present on the occasion.

The test involved two heavy trucks and trailers circuiting the track for a period of eight hours. The trucks established baseline fuel consumption in the first two hours, and then were driven on the treated fuel for six hours. Inspectorate, a Bureau Veritas company, was on hand to perform the testing procedure, compile the data and confirm the results. The results, according to the company, have exceeded PE Fuels best performance rates of 12 per cent fuel savings by a large margin.

Commenting on the test, Bapco representative Yousif Al Mezel said, “I was glad to see a Bahrain based company take the initiative to invest in proving a new technology that was available to Bahrain, and proud Al Jama was willing to invest in a partnership with emission control.”

PE Fuels promoter Ferlyn R J Chmelyk, CEO of Norres, said, “The ability to integrate a retail product into the refinery process solves energy values on many levels. Our fuel additive has the ability to provide an ease of application solution in one that could replace multiple additives in use today”.
