Eid Al Fitr open prayer grounds announced
Manama : The Sunni Endowments Directorate has extended sincere congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, and the Bahraini people on the near advent of Eid al-Fitr, wishing them many happy returns.
The directorate announced that Eid al-Fitr prayers will be performed at 5:15 a.m at the open air praying areas designated by the committee formed by Shaikh Rashid bin Mohammed Al-Hajiri, the directorate’s board chairman.
The prayer grounds will be as follows:
1. Muharraq: near the Muharraq Cemetery
(Hamad bin Ali Kanoo, Al-Tawba, Al-Ghawi, Fatima Al-Huti, and Mariam Kanoo in Busaiteen mosques will be closed).
2. Arad: Arad Fort Square
(Nearby mosques will not be closed)
3. East Riffa: near Riffa Fort
(Al-Qalaa, Shaikh Salman and Bin Ghatam mosques will be closed)
4. Hamad Town: Opposite the Kanoo Centre Roundabout 17
(Mus’ab bin Omair, Isa bin Mohammed Ali, HH Shaikh Faisal bin Hamad and the Al-Muwahideen mosques will be closed)
5. Hamad Town: Suq Waqef (First Roundabout)
(Hamad Town mosques near the First Roundabout will be closed)
The directorate also announced that the temporary Ramadan mosques will be closed.
It added that Eid al-Fitr prayers will be performed in all the remaining mosques which are affiliated with it.
The Sunni Waqf Directorate extended thanks to all government bodies which cooperated with it in preparing Eid prayer grounds and the Education Ministry for accepting to prepare prayer areas for communities in its schools.
