Preparations for smooth traffic flow

ManamaCustoms Affairs has designed a comprehensive plan to ensure smooth traffic flow at the King Fahd Causeway during the holiday. Officials expect more than 17,000 vehicles to flow during the day, which will coincide with the summer vacation.

Customs President Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalifa met the General Director of King Fahd Causeway, Abdulrahman bin Saad Al Yahya to discuss preparations on the causeway to receive travellers during Eid Al Fitr holiday.

There will be an additional shift that will work for two periods. It will be a back-up to the actual shifts. All lanes at the customs inspection - 9 lanes for departure and 8 lanes for arrival - will be opened.

Meanwhile, the Air Customs Exists Directorate has set a plan to tackle rise in the number of travellers by increasing the number of staff at the Inspection Yard of the Bahrain International Airport.
