Bahrain Summer Fest from July 7

ManamaThe Bahrain Summer Festival will kick off at 6pm on July 7 under the slogan ‘Your Destination Bahrain’ at the Nakhool Tent in Bahrain National Musuem, the same tent that hosted Bahrain International Book Fair four months ago.

The festival, which evokes many diverse cultural features from art, music and theatre, will run for a month till August 7.

Bahrain Authority for Antiquities and Culture (BACA) President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa said, “We are pleased that the festival will begin at the same time it coincides with the Eid Al Fitr celebrations.”

“The Voice Kids Tour” will be held on July 7 at 7pm in the Cultural Hall. In this not-to-be-missed performance, the talented young stars render a wonderful selection of modern and classic English and Arabic hit songs.

Smurfs, the beloved blue creatures, are also coming to Bahrain for the first time ever, from July 14 to 18, to present live Smurfs Save Spring.

Singer and actress Najat Al-Saghira will hold a concert on July 21 from 8pm for free. She left a legacy of over 200 recorded songs and appeared in numerous Egyptian films.

The conclusion of the concerts and shows of the festival will star the Flameco Vivo led by flamenco dancer, choreographer and singer Luis de la Carrasca on August 4 at 8pm for free, where the show will breathe new life into the traditional Spanish art form through dramatic, classical plays.
