KHK MMA team arrive in Las Vegas

Manama : Khalid Bin Hamad Al Khalifa Mixed Martial Arts Organization (KHK MMA) members have arrived in Las Vegas, representing the Kingdom of Bahrain, ahead of their much-awaited participation in the IMMAF Amateur World Championships.

The event is taking place from July 5-10 at the Convention Centre in Las Vegas, organised by the International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) in co-operation with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).

KHK MMA’s delegation includes Russian professional trainer Ahmed Renat, members of the technical staff as well as the six fighters participation the event who have been vetted and approved by HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, President of Bahrain Athletics Association and Founder of KHK MMA.

The fighters include Hussain Ayyad, Fahad Abdulrazaq, Abdullah Seena, Mohammed Adnan, Abdullah Al Fayez and Ali Ibrahimi.

Russian professional trainer Ahmed Renat underlined that fighters are ready for new challenge and have prepared for it by following an intensive training program focused on improving the fitness level.

“Our players are ready and raring to go for this new challenge and looking forward to deliver the ambitions of Shaikh Khalid, in this participation. They are looking forward to make an honourable appearance as well and hoist the Kingdom of Bahrain’s name high in addition to competing and increase the overall achievements in the MMA sport. This event is considered one of the main in the MMA’s annual calendar due to the level of the participants taking part. Our team possesses great qualities and I rest assured that we can achieve great results in Las Vegas,” said Renat.

Today the fighters at 10am (Las Vegas’ Time) (8pm Bahrain Time) will confirm their registration before undergoing the weight measurements and medical tests based on the regulations and the rules of the event.

This will be followed by holding the official draw which will decide the fate of each competitor.
