‘Saudi Arabia leads the fight against terrorism’

ManamaMinister of Information Affairs Ali bin Mohammed Al Rumaihi has condemned the terrorist bombings near the Prophet’s Grand Mosque, Qatif and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

He termed it as heinous crimes contrary to all religious principles, human and moral values yesterday. He expressed condolences to the families of the victims and wished the injured ones a speedy recovery. 

The Minister stressed Bahrain’s solidarity with Saudi Arabia and full support for all measures it takes to protect its security and stability from the forces of sedition and terrorism, praising the sacrifices of the brave Saudi security men. 

He said that those terrorist attacks target the Islamic doctrine and terrorise innocent people living on the holiest site in the world during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

He called on clergy and media to assume moral responsibility and remember the saying of the late Prince Nayef bin Abdul Aziz “Our religious faith and countries have been targeted. Defend your religions, countries, sons and future generations. We should realise good deeds and use all modern means to serve Islam and to say the truth without fearing others’ blame or criticism.” 

Al Rumaihi highlighted the efforts in Saudi Arabia led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud in uniting Arab and Islamic nations for the protection of the Islamic identity, disseminating values of moderation and tolerance. “They are fighting the extremist terrorist organizations to maintain regional and international peace. He underlined the competence of the Saudi security agencies led by Crown Prince and Interior Minister Prince Mohammed bin Nayef in maintaining security, stability and safety of the Saudi people and residents, as well as the holy places. 

He urged all Muslims to stand by the Saudi leadership in its fight against terrorism and defending Arab and Islamic causes.
