Bahrain MMAA holds its first meeting
Manama : The board of the Bahrain Mixed Martial Arts Association (BMMAA) held their first meeting under the chairmanship of Colonel Khalid Abdulaziz Al Khayat, President, on Monday at the headquarters of Bahrain’s Olympic Committee (BOC).
Colonel Khalid, welcomed members of the board at the beginning and expressed his thanks and appreciation to HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC) for his decision to establish the BMMAA and assigning the members of the council.
He also praised the efforts of HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) and founder of Khalid Bin Hamad Mixed Martial Arts Company (KHK MMA ) as these had a clear impact on establishing the sport in Bahrain.
The meeting agenda included discussing the vision and strategy of the association which aims to implement the visions of the BOC in addition to develop MMA programmes and activities.
Following the discussions, the members were given the positions that they will be occupying, Abdulrahman Al Ali is Vice President and head
of the Marketing and Development; Waleed Sayar, Secretary General for Financial Affairs; Isa Hassan Isa, Assistant General Secretary and Chairman of the teams; Fawaz Saleh Shamsan Chairman of the Media and Public Relations; Yousef Al Kooheji, Chairman of Discovering Talent and Training Centers; and Abadah Adnan Mulla, Chairman of the Technical Committee and Competitions.
The board further discussed the managing systems and operating procedures of the Association with the detailed terms of it, the regulation of financial and administrative affairs.
