Ministry official sacked for hiding terrorist : Court agrees
Manama : The lawsuit of a former public employee, dismissed for providing shelter and hiding a wanted fugitive, was rejected by the High Administrative Court.
The plaintiff was serving in the Water and Electricity Ministry then when he caught.
He approached the court to contest the ministry's decision to sack him for the offence.
However the court turned down his complaint since he was found guilty of dishonesty and misconduct.
The court stated that the man was found guilty of hiding a man implicated in constructing bombs. “It’s a serious crime that cannot be ignored.”
The accused held a senior position as Head of Security and Safety at the ministry.
