Businessman sues company for BD50,000
Manama : A Bahraini businessman sued a Kuwaiti company, operating in Bahrain, for BD50,000 in compensation for damages he incurred after it included his name in a lawsuit.
The businessman’s bank accounts, as well as his assets, were frozen after the company added his name in another case involving it with a renowned bank based in Abu Dhabi.
However he cleared his name and filed a counter lawsuit against the company, demanding cash compensation. The businessman was serving as a General Manager in the bank before it moved outside Bahrain.
The plaintiff’s lawyer revealed that his client suffered great losses on account of the company’s move to include his name in the case. He said that his client’s name was arbitrarily added in the case.
