Eid surprise for Al Manar inmates
Manama : Southern Governor Shaikh Abdulla bin Rashid Al Khalifa yesterday issued directives to officials at the Southern Governorate to visit the Dar Al Manar for Parents Care (Al Manar Parents’ Care Home) in Isa Town to share Eid Al Fitr wishes.
The programme featured many events, and gifts were presented to the elderly.
He highlighted the contribution by the elderly in the progress currently witnessed in Bahrain. He credited it to the Reform Project headed by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The elderly had contributed to the upbringing of the present generation that are a source of Bahrain’s pride and have set themselves a role model for their homeland, he said.
The social events held by the Southern Governorate aims to enhance interaction with all segments of the Bahraini society, especially the elderly.
The elderly inmates expressed their joy and praised the governor for the Eid Al Fitr wishes.
