Al-Luzi housing units: Distribution apace
Manama : Distribution of the housing units under the Al-Luzi housing project by the Housing Ministry in cooperation with the private sector is progressing smoothly.
The move comes on the backdrop of directive from Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa to distribute 3,000 housing units to mark the Holy Month of Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr.
Housing Ministry’s Undersecretary Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa said that the distribution of units is in its advanced stage, implementing the government’s Action Plan regarding the consolidation of the mechanisms of partnership with the private sector.
The Undersecretary added that the Al-Luzi project was among the projects covered in the Housing Ministry’s plan to construct 25,000 units before 2018, as part of the government’s effort to provide social housing in line with the Royal directives to construct 40,000 units.
He affirmed that the distribution process is progressing smoothly without any delay, noting that the authorities have contacted the beneficiaries, who reported at the Ministry to receive their certificates.
He underlined the Housing Ministry’s commitment to provide the 40,000 units within the pre-set time frame in accordance with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in this regard.
He also stressed the government’s interest in housing projects, being among the priorities in its Action Plan.
