Meat abundance during Ramadan ensured

Bahrain Livestock Company (BLC) Deputy Chairman Yousef Saleh said that on the first day of Ramadan the market had been provided with 1,700 heads of locally slaughtered Australian sheep, 140 Pakistani cattle, in addition to chilled meat from different sources, Australia, Pakistan and Sudan.
BLC Deputy Chairman said that 90,000 heads of Australian sheep scheduled to be delivered on three shipments, 10 June, 3 July and 18 July 2015.
He said that BLC had stock of 20,000 live sheep, adding that 140 heads of Pakistani cattle would be made available on a daily basis during Ramadan.
