Bahrain to conduct Arab heritage exhibition
Manama : Arab Regional Centre for World Heritage (ARC-WH) Chairperson Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa participated in the opening of the 40th World Heritage Committee of UNESCO session in Istanbul on Sunday. The event, which began on July 10 will continue until July 20 at the Istanbul Congress Centre in Turkey.
Bahrain is holding an exhibition in this year’s committee session titled “Sand and Sea in the Arab World”. This will be launched today in Istanbul Congress Centre’s Floor Hallway in the presence of a large number of participants.
The exhibition will showcase the wealth and diversity of natural heritage in the Arab Region.
Speaking on the occasion, Shaikh Mai stressed the importance of the presence of the Kingdom in the international committee session, as the Kingdom plays a key role in preserving the World Heritage in the Arab region.
