Ain Adhari to get a new market

Manama : A new market will soon be opened near Ain Adhari natural spring, one of the historic landmarks in Bahrain.

The market is being built next to the natural spring to turn the location into a prime tourist attraction. The market will consist of traditional cafes, restaurants and other entertainment hubs when the work is completed. Bahrain tourism and Exhibition Authority is implementing the project in collaboration with Capital Secretariat Board. 

The authority has added the location as a “Brand Bahrain” destination. Brand Bahrain is an initiative by the authority to bolster the tourism sector of Bahrain. 

Secretariat Chairman Mohammed Al Khozaee told DT News that the new market would open later this month. “We planned  to finish earlier but had some setbacks. Right now our priority is to open it as soon as possible. We are concentrating on completing the basic facilities, to open it to the public. But we will add more facilities in the future. Restaurants also will be opened,” he explained.

“We have many ideas and we are hoping to implement it one by one. Our aim is to make it the main tourist and cultural centre,” Al Khozaee remarked.

“First priority is to make sure that the pool is safe for swimming. For this, we are currently hiring lifeguards. Hopefully, we will open it by the end of this month.” he added.
