Attempting to murder police officers Bahraini man's jail term reduced
Manama : The Supreme Appeals Court has rejected the appeal of a Bahraini man convicted of attempting to murder police officers.
However, his jail term was reduced from 15 to 10 years.
The defendant was reportedly involved in a riot that occurred in Eker, where the saboteurs blocked the roads with blocks and wastes in order to lure police officers.
When cops arrived at the scene, they attacked them with iron rods and firebombs.
Earlier, 22 Bahraini men, including the appellant, were tried in connection with this case.
The majority of them were handed 15 years of imprisonment. But two defendants were acquitted due to lack of evidence.
