Filipino men on trial in Bahrain for murdering Pakistani man
Manama : Closing arguments would be heard on August 9 in the trial of two Filipino men accused of murdering a Pakistani man.
According to court reports, the Pakistani man’s body was found in an apartment in Hoora, and initial investigation confirmed that he was killed using a knife.
Detectives found out that the duo, aged 36 and 39, were implicated in the Pakistani man’s murder.
Later, it was found that one of the Filipino men owed the victim some money but he failed to settle it. This motivated the crime. Prosecutors said that the other man abetted the crime, though it was the first defendant who stabbed the victim.
They also robbed the Pakistani man of his belongings before leaving the scene. However, the main accused told the prosecutors earlier that his co-defendant wasn’t involved in the crime.
