Bahrain urged Hajj pilgrims to take vaccinations

Manama : The head of Hajj Medical Commission-affiliated coordinative committee, Dr. Ebrahim Obaid, has urged all those intending to perform the rituals of hajj pilgrimage this year to take the essential vaccination shots at their nearest health centre (HC) beforehand. He also urged them to obtain a copy of the relevant Health Manual which includes important health instructions and guidelines. 

This came during the second meeting held by the Coordinative Committee for the year 1437H/2016AD. He called on chronic disease patients to register their case(s) with their hajj contractor to enable fast administering of emergency health care whenever required .

Dr. Obaid said in compliance with the directives and instructions of Health Minister Faeqa bint Saeed Al Saleh, the Coordinative Committee keeps in touch with prospective hajj pilgrims to increase their health awareness and guidance regarding the most important and best ways to protect themselves from contagious diseases during their hajj journey.
