HH Shaikh Nasser awarded with Palestinian prez medal
Moscow : The Representative of HM the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, and Chairman of the Royal Charity Organisation (RCO)’s board of trustees, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, has been conferred with the Medal of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. He was honoured during the inauguration of the International Interfaith Tolerance and Peace Conference organised by the Arab Cultural Forum in Moscow, Russia.
HH Shaikh Nasser was honoured in recognition of his leading humanitarian role in providing relief assistance and developmental projects. His support for the Palestinian people in Gaza and the occupied city of Al Quds, and the setting up of Al Quds Al Sharif Library building are some of the instances.
Meanwhile, HH Shaikh Nasser dedicated the honour to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the people of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The medal was received on behalf of him by the RCOs’ Secretary-General, Dr. Mustafa Al Sayed, at the conference in the presence of the Palestinian Ambassador to Bahrain and the Palestinian Ambassador to Moscow.
