Bahrain Swimming Association delegation in Romania
Manama : A delegation of the Bahrain Swimming Association (BSA) is currently in Romania for a training camp starting at the weekend and concluding on August 9 in order to participate in the Gulf Championships and Gulf Youth Games for men and women.
The training camp is divided into two groups. The first group is headed by Tariq Juma, member of the Board of Directors and a member of the GCC technical organising committee, accompanied by first coach of the national team captain Alexander Caplovs and junior team coach captain Dhaen Yousif as well as swimmers Faraj and Farhan Saleh, Khalid Baba, Khalid Al Rowaie, Ali Al Alawi, Ali Diraj, Ahmed Abdulnabi, Abdullah Khalid, Fatima Al Mahmeed and Zain Al Tariq.
Two of the Bahrain swimmers, Farhan Saleh and Fatima Al Mahmeed, accompanied by Tariq Juma will then go on to Brazil to participate in the Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro from August 5 to 19.
A second group of swimmers are leaving on July 25 to join the camp under a referee captain Muneera Showaiter.
President of BSA Shaikh Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa and other officials met the swimmers prior to their departures with BSA vice-president Khalid Al Dossary given directions on how to deal with the camps and benefit from them.
