Further detention in fake bomb case
Manama : The High Criminal Court has renewed the detention of a Bahraini defendant accused of rioting and planting a hoax bomb.
According to court files, Nabih Saleh Police Station received information about a fire incident in the village of Bilad Al Qadeem.
When police officers arrived at the scene, they found an object similar to a bomb.
Later bomb experts examined it and found that it was a fake bomb.
The defendant was apprehended after police investigations established his involvement in the case.
His fingerprints were found to be matching with the evidences lifted from the scene. He has been charged with arson and placing a fake bomb for a terrorist purpose.
