Young Bahrain talents to start training at MUSS

ManamaAs a part of the sixth VIVA Manchester United Soccer Schools (MUSS) programme, 20 young Bahrain-based footballing talents – 16 boys and 4 girls are in the UK to begin a week of expert designed training in Manchester with one of the world’s biggest and longest running football club training programmes.

The young VIVA footballers will be hosted and trained by MUSS coaches at two of the training grounds, Trafford Training Centre known as Carrington and The Cliff.

Using top class facilities, all aspects of the game and techniques such as handling, footwork and distribution will be coached in exciting ways that recognise the abilities and needs of nurturing each talent, who had qualified for the MUSS week-long football camp following back-to-back try-outs held in April on the Bahrain Football Association pitches.

MUSS coaches were in attendance for the try-outs and nominated the best contenders based on multiple parameters including physical and technical attributes, individual and team skills.

The VIVA MUSS programme in partnership with Manchester United Football Club is one of several grassroots community-driven initiatives by VIVA.  It has grown since its launch six years ago and has sent around 140 talents of varying backgrounds from Bahrain.
