Deputy King, envoy discuss Bahrain-Italy ties
Manama : Strong relations between Bahrain and Italy across a range of sectors, noting Italy’s supportive role in regional issues was praised by Deputy King, HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.
Commenting on Italy’s efforts in buttressing international peace and security, Prince Salman expressed Bahrain’s desire to further enhance bilateral relations and expand cooperation across sectors.
The Deputy King was speaking during his meeting with the outgoing Ambassador of Italy Alberto Vecchi at Riffa Palace here yesterday.
On the occasion, Prince Salman acknowledged the Italian Ambassador’s efforts and contribution to strengthen Bahrain’s ties with Italy. He also recalled various bilateral visits, which had significantly strengthened cooperation, especially in the economic, trade and investment sectors.
Meanwhile they discussed matters regarding bilateral relations and cooperation, and reviewed various regional and international issues.
Vecchi extended his appreciation for the Deputy King’s support in developing and strengthening ties between the two countries.
