Three accused in drug peddling case
Manama : Two Thai women along with a Bahraini taxi driver have been accused of promoting illicit drugs in Bahrain.
One of the Thai women was responsible for smuggling the shabu into Bahrain through the airport.
The other Thai woman and the Bahraini man reportedly assisted her in peddling it. The trio was caught after a police tip-off revealed that they had been promoting illegal drugs in the country.
The defendants have been charged with “possessing drugs with the intention to use and sell.” Meanwhile, the High Criminal Court adjourned the next hearing of the case to August 9.
