Over 1,000 housing units distributed

ManamaMore than 1,000 housing units were distributed to beneficiaries across the Kingdom, the Housing Ministry announced here yesterday.

The beneficiaries include people from the Damistan, Al-Nabeeh Salah and Al-Lawzi housing projects.

The new development comes in line with the orders of Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa to distribute 3,000 housing units to citizens across the Kingdom.

The move is part of the ministry’s efforts to address the housing issue and reduce the number of housing demands featuring in the waiting lists. It aims to reassure the citizens that the implementation of its housing plan is on the right track, in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

The Housing Ministry informed that it would continue the distribution process of the 3,000 units, as part of its plan to build 25,000 units before 2018, in line with the royal directives to construct 40,000 units as soon as possible.

It added that the units of the Northern City, Tubli, Sitra, Hunainiyah, Askar, Jaw and Arad housing projects would be distributed in the coming period.
