Bahraini gets jail for bike theft
Manama : Bahraini man get five year jail term in a two wheeler theft case. According to the Supreme Appeals Court files the accused was found guilty of stealing a pizza delivery motorbike along with another unknown person.
However the defendant placed a delivery order for pizza and gave a wrong address in Bilad Al Qadeem.
When the delivery staff, an Asian man, arrived to deliver the order, he was attacked with an iron rod and a knife by the accused and his accomplice. They were also wearing masks during the attack.
The defendant was nabbed following investigations, while the other man is still at large.
“We had stolen a cellphone of an Asian man serving in a cafeteria. We used it for placing the delivery order,” the defendant said during interrogation. “Then we stole the motorbike, but we didn’t assault the delivery staff.”
